So I read this fic about the crew of Deep Space 9 playing a holo novel of The Avengers and, while I was super amused by it and would gladly read more if the author wrote more, I had other ideas about some of the character match-ups. Now I'm writing a Star Trek/Avengers fusion and I have no one to talk to about it.

Some books are inspirational. Others are intellectually stimulating or emotionally comforting. Then there are those juicy, mindless reads that are only good for a plane ride or the beach. Which books or authors fall under this last category?

I saw Star Trek last week, OMG it was awesome. Every cast member was awesome. The new Kirk is so Kirk. Zack Quinto, the new McCoy and especially the new Uhura exceeded my expectations. The new Chekov is adorable. And Simon Peg is freaking perfect as Scotty.

I may have to get into Star Trek fanfiction again.
